ELM College Consultants mission is to provide high value college counseling to a wider community of students at accessible prices. With ELM, students are actively engaged in their college process, building self-efficacy in order to identify their strengths, interests and ultimately, their best college match. As experienced educators and college admissions experts, we provide strategic guidance on what admissions officers are looking for in the college application process to transform results using methods that resonate with teenagers. Through one of our group workshops or one-on-one offerings, students will receive personalized guidance and support in order to create a college application they will feel proud of. We believe the college process can be a transformative and positive experience if approached in a balanced and strategic manner.

Personal Statements & Supplemental Essays
Your student will receive support in preparing essays that cogently tell their story in order to differentiate themselves in the college application process.

In a sequence of one-on-one or group advising sessions we will lead students through exercises to guide them in identifying their college essay topic by exploring their values, interests, and experiences to identify themes that define who they are as a person and student.
Students will receive guided support through the writing process including essay structure, grammar, content and impact​.
Application Strategy
Our goal is to optimize student admissibility at selective colleges. As advisors, we provide insight on how to best leverage student accomplishments in order to position you as a strong candidate for admission.

We will support you in creating a compelling narrative, provide strategies to create a well balanced college list and strategy in the early action and early decision process. We believe if approached with the right lens, students can develop a strong sense of self and purpose through their application process, allowing them to enter college with a better understanding of themselves and their goals.
Interview Preparation
We will help you prepare for college interviews, providing you with the skills and confidence you need to make a strong impression on admissions officers. One-on-one mock interviews provide students with an overview of a typical college interview and will leave them with valuable feedback that can be used throughout the application process.
Financial Aid
We'll guide you through the complex world of financial aid, helping you understand your options, complete financial aid applications, and maximize your chances of receiving the aid you need.
